SOUTH Australian motorcycle racing legend Greg Pretty has been killed in a head-on crash with another rider, who also died in the horrific Hills collision.

"He was a top guy, a fierce competitor and true friend to many people," he said.

The champion rider and former SA Sports Star of the Year, and the other man, were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the Macclesfield to Echunga road, near Macclesfield.

Pretty's mate of 30 years and former racing competitor Rick Dowsett said the motorcycle community was in shock over the tragic loss.

Motorcycling Victoria (MV) would like to advise that due to our move to a new Office we have a new telephone number and postal address. The new telephone number is 03 9673 0600. The move of office has also resulted in a new fax number which will be 03 9673 0620. The address of the new MV Office is Suite 125/9 Hall Street, Port Melbourne (Melways Ref: 42 J11). MV will begin operating from our new office as of  Wednesday, 27 January 2010.

Please note also that due to our relocation the MV Office will be closed from Thursday, 21 January and will re-open on Wednesday, 27 January at our new location. MV request that if people have any questions or queries that they contact the MV Office by COB on Wednesday, 20 January. MV apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

This register is for open events only.  If you have a current Hartwell Race Number, then you may still use it for 2010.  If you only race at Hartwell meetings then you don't need to register your number.

Please include your Name & Class/Classes as well. These registers will be used at most Victorian roadrace events and should help with the lap scoring and the running of each event. The Victorian Roadrace Championships and the Victorian Interclub Series will be using these registers to prioritise race numbers.
