Col Sampson Memorial Trial
Do you want some fun?
The Annual Col Sampson Memorial Trial is on again – Sunday October 10. The venue is nestled in the Yarra Valley, 10 mins. from Lilydale and 50 klms east of Melbourne at 6 Ross Road, Gruyere, Melway Ref: 119 J6. This event is a low cost, low stress and great social day (weekend if you wish).
The observed trial consists of 10 sections, riding over logs, wombat holes and any other obstacles that Paul can find for you. We then break for a sausage sizzle and then repeat the 10 sections again, in reverse.
You don’t need a special trials bike (or skill) any dirt bike will do and if you don’t have one, borrow one from a mate. If you don’t have a mate, we may even be able to loan you one (a bike that is; not a mate!!) so no excuse not to turn up. If you aren’t riding, just come for a social day, always good for a laugh, with good spectator value. We do request that if you are riding that all skin is covered for safety.
Registration at 9am for a 10am sharp start. You must be a Hartwell Member to ride this event. Entry fee $40, one event licences are also available for this event ($45).
Those wishing to stay Saturday night are most welcome, showers and toilet facilities available. Plenty of camping, or room on the floor of the shed. Call Karen at the office for further details, or if you plan to get lost on the way, call Rol for directional details on 0409 973 711.
To assist with the number of ‘snags’ to buy, would you please call and register your intent. You can also down load (will be up shortly) the entry form and bring it with you on the day. Please let us know if you intend to participate.

Due to new track density limits, it is important to get your entries in early. The Broadford track limit is now 31 for solos. We may reach the point where we have to deny entries due to over subscription to some classes. So get them in to avoid any problems.
Entry forms for the 'Master of Mac Park' are now available. Road race meeting at Mount Gambier held on October 2 & 3. Download by visiting
